With its discreet gant all-leather winter look for city use, the WFX METRO WP inaugurates an innovative concept in terms of construction and thermal insulation. Most winter gloves have always been built the same way... To put it simply: thick, dense thermal insulation on the top of the hand, and thinner insulation in the palm extending up to the fingertips. This is the point weakness of this traditional construction. The cold ends up penetrating through the forks (that's what we call the area between the fingers). FIVE rethinks the fundamentals of thermal insulation by adopting a new construction called THERMO+™, offering up to 20% thermal gain, based on PRIMALOFT® insulation, the top in the field. The concept is quite simple: the thick insulation at the top flows down to the fingertips, while the thinner insulation is contained at the (flat) base of the palm and fingers. This means reconsidering all the autres elements of gant, such as the structure outer shell or the waterproof membrane, in order to preserve perfect overall flexibility and a good grip on the handlebars. It's when riding in the cold that the full benefits of Thermo+™ construction become apparent. The thicker, denser insulation in the forks provides a much more effective thermal barrier, and helps preserve the hand's natural warmth in the gant, longer. Beyond this innovation the WFX METRO WP proves to be of rare elegance and exceptional perceived quality due to its full-grain leather construction. Its wide, all-leather adjustment tab, worthy of the finest leather goods, contributes to this enhanced perception. It features all the elements common to most FIVE WP gloves, with its waterproof-breathable 5_Drytech™ membrane, ERGO PROTECH® shells, Touch Screen™ or Clear Vision Pad™ system. The WFX METRO WP will appeal to lovers of noble materials such as leather, concerned with keeping hands warm and dry when temperatures flirt with zero.
