Grip in all conditions
An improved tread compound with high silica content combined with an optimal groove and siping arrangement that improves mechanical and chemical grip in all situations.
The compound on the shoulder has a higher percentage of silica for a better contact feel in bends, especially in the wet.
The center band is a blend of silica and carbon black to improve high-speed stability, heat dispersion and the balance between abrasion resistance and grip.

All ROADTEC™ Scooter structures feature adaptive handling and a light weight that enhances handling and riding comfort. Thanks to the innovative rounded profiles, theempreinte area is short and wide, which, in addition to reducing fuel consumption, increases wear regularity and provides progressive handling and a feeling of safety when cornering.
The increased surface area distributes the vehicle's weight and acceleration forces over a larger area, reducing rubber stress and overheating.
Safety on wet and low-grip surfaces
The tread design of the ROADTEC™ Scooter is inspired by the award-winning ROADTEC™ 01, which now features sipes for optimum efficiency on scooters.
This tread design has been developed to improve mechanical traction, with a clearly perceptible advantage during acceleration and braking.
The shape and layout greatly contribute to maximizing water evacuation and mechanical grip.
The ground surface features many grooves and rubber in simultaneous contact with the road, improving mechanical grip, water evacuation and the feeling of safety; it also ensures more rubber in contact with the ground, particularly at mid-angle, for better grip right from the start of cornering.
The front tire features numerous transverse grooves that adhere to the asphalt as individual elements and increase the amount of water drained, while the short sipes oriented in the opposite direction improve stability and control under braking. The grooves also help to increase grip on low-grip surfaces and reduce warm-up time.
The rear tire features wide, long, oppositely-directed sipes that combine different effects: under acceleration, the grooves improve traction, especially on low-grip surfaces; under braking, the sipes prevent lateral movement and increase stability.
