Brembo DOT 4 Sport.EVO 500++ has excellent chemical/physical characteristics that make it a very good alternative to the original. This makes it the perfect choice for those with a sporty driving style on the road. Its premier characteristics mean it can be used for a considerable distance before needing to be replaced (usually between 12,000 and 24,000 km).
Brembo SPORT EVO 500++ is ideal for use in braking and clutch systems designed for NON-mineral fluids. It is specially designed to meet the expectations of enthusiasts who demand a lot from their system. And it meets the requirements of the American FMV55 116 DOT 4 specification.
Brembo SPORT EVO 500++ can be mixed withautres DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 brake fluids, provided they comply with the above specifications. It must not be used in systems designed for mineral fluids.
Point Typical dry boiling point 520° F (271° C), point typical wet boiling point 336° F (169° C).
The main characteristic of a brake fluid is its extremely low coefficient of compressibility and its notable resistance to high temperatures (point boiling point), preventing any significant variation in its volume given the high working temperatures it can reach during braking phases.
These temperatures depend on the continuity and intensity of the braking action; in fact, the fluid has an operating temperature range from around -40°C to well over 200°C, so the higher the point boiling point, the better the fluid's characteristics.
Because of its characteristics, brake fluid readily absorbs moisture. This immediately leads to a reduction in performance at point, where it becomes completely ineffective. Precisely because of its hygroscopicity (i.e. the tendency to absorb moisture from the air), brake fluid deteriorates over time and loses the aforementioned characteristics, developing a tendency to produce water vapor bubbles as the temperature rises (the "Vapour Lock" effect, where vapor bubbles form). This progressively lengthens the action of the brake lever once it has warmed up.
The deterioration of brake fluid characteristics is immediate, even in the case of a low percentage of water. So it's a good idea to keep it under control, replacing it if necessary.
For this reason, brake fluid must have certain specific characteristics:
be as incompressible as possible
have a high boiling point point
have a low viscosity
be chemically stable
be chemically inert towards seals

Brembo SPORT.EVO 500++ is well suited to vehicles equipped with ABS braking systems.
For maximum safety and performance, Brembo recommends annual brake fluid replacement.
