Revive the power of your motorcycle with the chain breaker Kellermann KTW 2.5, the essential tool for a precise and effortless replacement.
The chain tool KTW 2.5 is the enhanced version of the KTW 2.0.
It allows for the easy removal of the old chain and the precise installation of the new one (with rivets) without the costly effort of dismantling the rear wheel swingarm.
The tool can separate chains from all the common brands (e.g., D.I.D, Regina, RK, and others) and rivet them with hollow rivet locks.
The tool comes with two different diameter mandrels. The pre-mounted mandrel is now even more robust and suitable for 5xx and 6xx chains.
The supplied mandrel is specifically designed for separating 4xx chains. To use it, you only need a 19mm socket or hex key.
The tool also works for solid rivet locks if you use the complementary set art. no. 130.250.
The chain tool consists of the main tool transmitting the force and a patented positioning unit for mounting the rivet lock,
which features a completely new and straightforward insertion method for the side tab of the chain lock.
This newly developed magnetic positioning unit ensures easy and absolutely precise mounting of the side tab of the chain lock.
The magnets present in both the pressure plate and the counter plate hold the two parts of the chain lock together and allow for precise,
simple, and comfortable alignment of the chain lock parts relative to each other, thanks to the guiding mechanism.
This is essential for damage-free installation of the chain lock and can be checked at any time through the cutouts in the pressure plate.
The magnets also allow the positioning unit to stay attached to the chain and not need to be held constantly.
With the main tool, the positioning unit can be used to slide the side plate onto the chain link, a step that,
without the new positioning unit, can take a long time and be very frustrating.
The pressure plate and counter plate are designed to extend over the neighbouring chain links, allowing you to see with the naked eye,
when installing the chain clasp, that the plate is pushed onto both bolts at the correct distance.
This helps prevent common damage to the chain or chain lock due to mounting errors.
Complementary head forming kit for solid rivet locks Ref: 130.250. By using this complementary kit,
the chain tool is able to handle solid rivet locks. The operation is simple:
replace the mandrel guide with the provided riveter guide. Push the riveter into the guide, and the tool is ready for use.
The force transmission to the riveter is done through the mandrel.
