Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyser or tamper-proof screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals which must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and registration plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the purchase date, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
