Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds, anti-tamper screws, or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only applicable for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions, and each silencer carries the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not to tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for the installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if it were on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight, and without license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one needing repair; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
