Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper bolts or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only allowed for RACING use on the tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: This item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight, and without number plate support, or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair through return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
