Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the bracket is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not in accordance with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play but it is still recommended to have them installed by a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight, and without plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle resulting from the transformation into the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. This applies from the date of purchase, with the right to repair by returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
