Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of any issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for locals and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and registration plate holder or other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Misusing this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product's warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
