- The three main differences in the GP Plus R V4 are: the A-CS™ Plus stretch material, the extended GP-R Lite elbow armour, and the new modernised graphics.
- The A-CS™ Plus stretch material is the composite stretch from Alpinestars found in the large side panels of the jacket.
- A-CS™ Plus - material technology derived from MotoGP - offers increased flexibility, high abrasion resistance, tear resistance superior to leather, as well as a lower profile and overall reduced weight.
- The chassis construction is complemented by a mix of racing and regular cowhide leather.
- External shoulder sliders Dynamic Friction Shield (DFS) with Nucleon Flex Plus armour underneath for impact protection and comfort of movement.
- Detachable 80 g thermal vest and long vents on the abdomen.
