Ideal for rigid iron, steel and aluminum joint faces.
LOCTITE 518 polymerizes in the absence of air when confined between metal surfaces with small clearances.
It is an anaerobic, flat sealant designed for use on rigid cast-iron, aluminum and steel joint faces.
It fills gaps of up to 0.25mm and forms a flexible seal that resists chemicals and does not creep.
Parts are easily disassembled even after long use.
Typical applications include sealing low-gap assemblies between metal surfaces or parting lines.
It is also used as a "made-in-place" gasket for rigid parting line assemblies such as gearboxes and engines.
