The adventure Scottoiler began with the inventor of the Scottoiler - Fraser Scott. After being frustrated by chain and sprocket wear and the need for almost constant maintenance, he created an automatic lubrication system activated by engine vacuum. After years of refinement, the first Scottoiler was finally put on sale in 1984.

40 years after its launch, this same vacuum chain oiler is still being produced, along with a range of other innovative chain oiler solutions. In this 40th year, a special 40th anniversary edition of the vSystem is being featured, celebrating all that has come before and led to this point.

Inspired by the colours of the original Scottoiler RMVs, the special 40th anniversary edition vSystem is available in a limited edition colour and is limited to 500 units.

The kits will come with all the current modern installation components, including a distribution tube with a distributor set, a mounting plate for the micro-distributor, a self-adhesive distributor mounting bracket, self-adhesive tube routing clips, a 250 ml bottle of biodegradable green Scottoil suitable for all temperatures (0-40C), assembly instructions, and a user guide.
