ECE 22-06 is a European regulation that establishes minimum safety requirements for motorcycle, scooter and quad helmets. This standard requires more stringent impact tests, head coverage requirements and performance criteria than the previous ECE 22-05 standard.
The ECE 22-06 standard defines the physical and mechanical characteristics of motorcycle helmets, impact tests, penetration resistance, visibility, labeling and documentation requirements. It is mandatory for the marketing of motorcycle helmets in Europe.
